    Video Card

    Hey guys,
I'm having some problems with playing games on my pc.
It is not a gaming pc, but before i could play Warrock but not any more.
Maybe it is because i played it on windows xp (it is a windows xp pc) and now i deleted it and put windows 7.

When i search for my video card i get this:
    Code:
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter (8000 KB)
But i need the name of my video card.
If you guys can help me to find an update for it it will be very much appreciated =D
    My pc model is:
    Code:
    HP Compaq dx2000 Microtower PC
    Thanks in advance =D

There is no video card, you're simply using an onboard GPU.

    Hmm.
But i can just buy a good video card, right?
if so, what is a good video card?
    (Not to expensive)
and is 2.8 Ghz good enough for playing games? (like minecraft, warrock, portal 2 etc..)
and i also need to buy RAM chips

    Re: Video Card

That's an extremely old PC with an outdated CPU & chipset. The RAM is now completely discontinued, as are the other components. It has a 250W PSU which can't accommodate a video card, nor can the motherboard with only PCI slots.

To sum it up - No, you need to buy an entire new PC, there is no hope of "upgrading' this one.

    Intel Extreme Graphics 2

According to HP's website. And I don't think 7 would run good on such a old machine. I would stick with XP until you purchase a new machine.

    Windows 7 is working fine.
    Even better than xp.
The only "problem" is that the aero effects don't work.

But would you think that minecraft will work if i run it on xp?
