Re: Vista Why I Hate It More So
Ive never had a single problem, and Im running an aftermarket soundcard.. perhaps you shouldnt worry about the HD sound..? Is it one of the new(er) ATI cards you are using perchance?

Re: Vista Why I Hate It More So
Because Audio drivers suck on Vista due to it's new driver inferstructure. Same problem here as if I run onboard sound it doesn't do multi channel while if I use a sound card it just BSoDs all the time.

DAM DRIVER error on VISTA keep getting BSOD.
LOL all it is Nvidia start up.
Turned it off on start ups in Safemode and it works lol
Vista ok when it works as long as am post the log in screen am good.
Overall Vistas ok until it does have it moments of BSODs.

Re: Vista Why I Hate It More So
Yeah the only problem with Vista is shit drivers that causes it to crash. If you can install it with the right drivers it runs perfectly fine. I had it running for about 4 months as I needed an x64 OS for my school work. Then when I installed SP1 it went all screwy again. Stupid thing is nearly as bad as Linux in that sense. If you install it right and it's stable it will always be stable but if you mess with it then you are screwed. -.-

Re: Vista Why I Hate It More So
;) A common problem I would say for many Hd Audio cards . . . my solution has always been to find Drivers from other Manufactures of motherboards that have the same sound chip inside and use theres . . . IE: I have an Asus Board and I used MSI board Sound Drivers and for some reason it Fixed everything . . . its just a matter of getting compatible drivers. . . It takes a while but eventually you should be able to get working drivers. ;)
