Well i reakon wired is good for gaming and wireless is good for media. But i am a gamer who has wireless lol.

Depends on personal preference. I hate mice with normal batteries, but I can't stand wired mice as the cable gets in the way all the time, thus the G15 is perfect for me, no wires, battery lasts a fair amount of time and you can swap it for the spare in roughly 10-15 seconds.
Wired everything unless you want to keep forking out cash for new sodding batteries every week. No point in getting wireless kit if you're gonna be sat in front of a PC with the wires dangling down the back of a desk anyway.
Well my batts in my mouse and keyboard last over a months and htey only take 12 hours to charge.
I always think of non-wireless perphs as being faster.
I'm using bluetooth everything right now, course I don't play any fps and my keyboard sometimes suddenly stops working.
I don't think too much about battery life as much as I do reaction and reliability. Wireless, I think, isn't as reliable as non-wireless.
In fact it think games are as fast responstive to my wireless keyboard and mouse then any other mouse or keyboard i have every use which is wired.
Depends more on what tracking system it uses and how accurate it is. If you have a mouse picking up huge amounts of data then maybe a wire is better as it can provide a higher bandwidth but I doubt it.
The only difference is if you can be bothered to change the batteries. Personally I own a G7 and have to change them every other day, but since I use a laptop it beats having a wire going to it.
i fuckin hated my wireless keyboard n mouse, was using wireless for about 7 months and found it hard to play FPS games, as i would just stop moving now n again gettin me killed in the process.
Good ol' wired keyboard n mice ftw
I'm currently sporting the dual USB plug Razer Tarantula Keyboard.. and the Razer DeathAdder Mouse.. and they are the best I have ever used... both wired. I don't have to worry about ANY ghosting on my keyboard (Holding multiple keys down without having the computer beep at you) along with being able to throw the polling frequency way up on the mouse and not worry about any type of interruptions. Batteries are a pain in the arse.. wireless is prone to signal loss and signal interruption (including infra red and bluetooth.. I deem bluetooth as the worst of the two).
I had a Logitech wireless setup (keyboard and mouse) fo ra while.. and after the first year I was just sick of it. I switched back to wired, and a nice high quality keyboard/mouse all wired is teh best way to go. If its done right, youll never notice the cord.

i dont like the weight of wireless mice
Well i have both wireless keyboard and mouse and my fps on games is ok and there very reactive
Its a LOGITCH LX710 keyboard and LX 7 mouse
Cost me
I have wired, i dont stray from my desk so i have no need for wireless. And im poor so its a tesco's mouse and keyboard
lol they suck buy Lab tec they are cheep but not crap like tesco stuff
Lol to all the people complaining about having to change the batteries on wireless stuff. I change the batteries in my mouse every 8 months. And I use my PC 60 hours a week on average.
Now as what I prefer. Wireless mice and I don't care about the keyboard. I only use default cheap ass keyboards anyways as I type the best on a standard one. So right now I have an old Dell keyboard that I got 4 years ago. Works just fine for me and it's all I need.
As for mice. I can't stand the cord. Always gets suck on something like the monitor, speaker, or desk and it just gets in the way for gaming. It's just so much easier playing games with a wireless mouse. And for people that says it's harder to play with a wireless mouse on an FPS then they are full of it or they don't configure the drivers properly to adjust the input settings.
NoPeace - out
What mouse you using NoPeace? I remember my old wireless mouse used to get through 2x AA batteries in about 3 days, so I got one of those cheap corded microsoft mice, that broke out on me and the cable kept getting in the way so I ended up with the Logitech G7, have to change the battery about every day or two on that but it takes literally 5 seconds for a quick swap and I don't have to keep dishing out cash for new batteries.
i had the both , if you just buy a good wireless stuff for the PC it will be just fine .
but sometime you need charge them so u have no time for that . just use wire stuff xD/
No matter what wired will always be better than wireless in terms of tracking/picking up signals because...well the connection is always there and you never run out of power.
However I have heard very good things from the mx revloution because of the rechargeable batteries and good precision.

LOL you dont really need
[QUOTE=Slaterking;3007387]LOL you dont really need
I reckon laser takes less power then optical cos optical has a RED LED.
Personally Wired. Wireless has the ability to suddenly drop out on you. Not so good for playign online/fatspaced games.
And seeing as I have enough cords around the back of my PC to strangle half of china with, I might as well add another two.
LOL my old optical mouse had it's batteries for about 1 week my new laser mouse can have them for about 4 weeks.
I think they are making wireless mice and keyboards take up less energy.
