    Which CPU?

OK so hai, my name is boxxy.. >.>

    but srsly now.

I found myself in need of yet another "general" use computer :P
Meant mainly for hardcore gaming, porn processing, heavy file/video encoding (well... not that heavy :P only when my server is busy) and other usual stuff...
I'm certainly getting few SSDs, most likely gonna SLI EVGA GeForce GTX 580 3072MB Hydro Copper 2 but problem starts with CPUs -. -
Which one should I get? Normally I'd go with top of the line, but somehow something tells me that i7 920 would be sufficient o.o'
Specially since I got few spare ones laying around :P
So what would be a GOOD choice of CPU?
While suggesting keep in mind that I'll probably OC the living shiet out of it regardless of which CPU I'll use.

I just don't fancy buying yet another i7 990x/980x if performance isn't going to increase much gaming wise.
    Unless it does :>
So does it? HUH? CAN'T HEAR YOU.

    Re: Which CPU?

    For what you're using it for, it wouldn't matter if you were using a 65nm e6600 or a 32nm i7 2500K overclocked to 5GHz.

If you have a few i7 920's lying around, then go for it. They're only about 1 year old and their socket 1366 is discontinued, but it will do the job just fine and then some.
