    Wireless headset compatibilte with Mac

    Hi,

I'm intending to purchase a macbook pro and I'm trying to find good, gaming grade, wireless headset compatible with mac/OS X.

Razer Chimaera 5.1 is exactly what I'd like to buy but I don't believe it works with macbooks...

Are there any other headsets similar to Chimaera but for macs?

You can just Google it yourself can't you? This is basically like asking someone to Google it for you lol

Or better yet you could probably check your local wal-mart/best buy/radio shack ads online for them.

    Apparently I cannot find anything.
I've already spent fair amount of time online with no results.

So no, this isn't "basically like asking someone to Google it for me".
It's actually asking if anyone have any knowledge of good, Mac compatible gaming headset that is similar to Razer Chimaera because, apparently, good Google turns up with either old/ very low quality headsets or Dr. Dre headsets.

I understand that gaming headsets gonna be hard to find on Mac but I figured that perhaps someone stumbled across one.

If the MAC has a USB peripheral port, then it should work.

The razer has 3.5 mm jacks, which require no additional drivers. It would even work on a 10$ MP3 player.

Though, no way that's 5.1, 3.5 mm jacks only support up to 2 channels (2.0). It's just going to produce some fake surround sound effect that will make you nauseous when you're used to any real 5.1 sound system.
