1)i would lay off the blur + lighten technique doesnt do the sig any favours
2)make text more readable and stand out a little more from bg
3)the random c4d doesnt help
5)part from the c4d render there aint much of a bg work on it

Well I wanted to make the text blend in but overlay + shadow wasn't a much better idea than brown outer glow. :-/ I'm a total nub at text. :(

you could always try this...

type ur text... than duplicate the layer, invert the colour of it... say if its black make the duplicate white... than make the darker layer behind the lighter one, and nudge it to the right 3 times and nudge it down 3 times... this is a nooby yet effective way of brining out your text :D
