I didn't know which one I liked better so I am posting both.

The first one is better. Pretty simple though, you got a background and motion blured it, added render put text with some blending settings and a border. The second one was just hardlight. Seriously read some tutorials and get better.

OK I will start using some.

I feel the background is too bland.

All it is, is duplicated renders, then gaussian blurred. a little plain.

Try to use more filters on it and see what kind of an outcome you can get.
