Pen tool is nice. If you wanted it plain then you could have added maybe just a tad of effects. And the text on the second one doesn't make sense.

text is nice, needs more effect and colors, a light source and more depth, oversized too?
no effects. good pen tooling tough :D gotta learn how to do that xD

anyone got any ideas on how i can liven up the background a bit?
If its a stock try and smudge it or place a nice c4d around the image to take up some space
a c4d would easily ruin the pen effect.
Maybe add a light source?
Seen that render before, could use some work/effort though.

Don't like the 2nd one. I'm picky; I don't like the text "Freedom" when the image whos someone in a pretty restraint, claustrophobic place.
+ I don't really like the render. The texture of the headgear seems to clash with the clothing.
yes, im worried it would ruin the pen, il try a c4d though.
some work/effort? be specific, if you say i didnt put effort, you do one better. il provide the stock if you like.

how exactly is he in a clostrphobic place? hes outside.... spinning aroud... being free....
i think by the means that he is restricted to that helmet/uniform/etc.
Be careful if you do add in a c4d :O
