This is great for a first time. I love the lighting & the font used.
Although try using different font styles & new effects to see what looks better.

the render seems kinda stretched and the background is kinda plain

and personally i thought that it's too dull =S

Good job for a 1st siggy, i just dont like the font you've used although i love how you did on the text. The render seem stretched, try to hold down shift key when you're resizing render. But GJ keep it up
