a month seems a bit long though doesnt it. It took me like 15 minutes to make my entry :/

Nothing else, it should be more the participating and progression of your PHotoshop skills which should be the priority within these sort of events, not the winning

That's dumb, people gain motivation off of knowing the amount of entries since it gives a feeling of "Dam there's a lot of people entering, therefore some competition, maybe i can beat them all!"
