reduce the opacity on scanlines a bit and blend render in, my suggestion, take off all color balances and on the render press ctrl+u then lower saturation to 0 and then add a color balance layer on top of those

try making scanlines with overlay, looks better sometimes, in this case, i don't know. but it looks good.

I don't like it... hmm... because the render and the background doesn't match :S. I'll suggest to change the background color.
