No, abstract is a dead art. I have made plenty of abstract art, all of which did not remotely resemble that bullshit you see on deviant or any other community. Look at me, I manipulated a box for ten minutes then got a million praises; fuck me I'm the greatest! Every single one of them i've met has such an attitude for the most simplistic, over done "art" in history.Quote:

That's how I feel about DA anyway. I'm not a member there, and don't see it to be one anytime soon, but maybe doing so may evoke a different stroke of light for my thoughts on DA.
DA WAS good about four-five years ago, and now shadowness has fallen victum.
Abstract like any other art is about expressing yourself, most people see absract as an excuse to stick random things together or do a poor on something. Almost every digital art piece that says its abstract is a joke.
As for DA I signed up a few months ago, it's good for distributing and thats about it imo.
