The render and the bg don't blend at all, you just put it in there. Work on some blending methods and effects.

Tutorials i made is easy to follow and show Blending Techniques.

I don't know but it looks like you have potential, a good idea of how things work but just a lack of knowledge of the tools you're working with. Look for tutorials on pixel2life.com and such and try you're best to improve. I look forward to seeing you're works again
