My first Pro Wallpaper! *is giddy*

Thank you Intro!

Most people would diss it, simply because they could say, "oh, it's nothing special, you're just using brushes." They don't get that it's more than simply using tech brushes. The (over all) design (not the design of the individual brushes) is my own. I used well over 35+ different tech brushes to create that over all design. Sure, I didn't MAKE the brushes, but, well, like I was telling my brother, who's a good cook. He doesn't MAKE the egg, he doesn't make the chicken, the rice, the nutmegg, or any of the ingredients, but it's how he USES them that makes it unique to him.

The way that wally comes together is unique to me, and THAT'S what should be praised/dissed/critiqued.

I for one think it came together nicely.. The Xenogears Custom image under the plain blue gradient really makes the BG in my opinion. Also, I think I added a nice touch to EACH image I used, a couple that I PAINSTAKINGLY cut out! I take pride in cutting out renders nicely, lol. And when you think about it, the brown on blue doesn't really hurt the eyes, kinda looks good together if you ask me. Also, I'd like to add that the Eva 03 is cut out, the night sky background is made by me. I think I made it look kind of nice for a "night sky" lol.

Heh, I'm sorry for going on about it, it's just that this is my first real endeavour with digital imaging, my first time that I ever made a wallpaper... I've always looked at those wallpapers others have made out of images and such, and have wanted to make one of my own, and this is it... *gets that giddy feeling of acomplishment inside*

Oh, and I'm a whore when it comes to detail... But I think that's kind of a good thing, keeps the image from getting boring.

Oh, and guess what? I DID IT IN GIMP... beatches, haha.

But i hated xenogear..lol..not that it has anything to do with ur wp.

you have a point there, but I wouldnt call a design my own if i used someone else's work in it.
I see a lot of signatures on here that are just ripped off renders they edited a bit in photoshop (added a border, put a few filters/effects on it and called it their own)
which is fine by me, just dont pretend that you deserve 100% credit for it :)
a professional lightened/textured 3D character can take a whole month of tweaking.
adding a border to it in photoshop takes 3 seconds :)
in my opinion photoshop(and the gimp for that matter) is just a little tool to finish/edit/finalise something. people make it out to be really hard while in fact all you need is a bit of creativity and time.
if you have both, you can create some nice art

Like your background.

I'm not a big fan of the style though, but that's personal taste. I think the "add some small text and lots of small thingys to make it look advanced" is getting rather unoriginal and annoying (though it's not overdone in yours)

90% of the wallpapers I see are no doubt unoriginal, doing the same thing I did, only in a different way. Like I said, how it came together in unique to me, in no way did I say I deserve 100% of the credit (not sure if that's what you said, or not). Like I've stated time and time before, it's not the chef who makes the egg, but how he cooks it. He didn't just whip the egg out of his ass, he took it from the chicken, but does the chicken ever get credit instead of the chef for the omelet? Hmm? HMMM?! Thought so... (rofl) Besides, I put on the description that full credit of the images used goes to their original authors, whoever the hell they may be. People told me that I should put some mecha on it, and that's what I did...
