There's not much to tell you at this stage than to keep practicing. If you really want to work with photoshop in the future, practice and practice some more. Here are some beginner and some more "advance" tutorials. http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/...op/forum_sigs/

If you want to learn to be more creative, stop using brushes and create the effects yourself. Cause if you think about it, those brushes are usually made by someone else from scratch.
