For a first not bad.
- Text needs work.
- Very basic.
- Render needs some effects.
- add a light source.

If you look at the render it has light parts on it?
If you added lighting well onto the render it would give it some more depth.
It's called lighting, anyways... All it needs is a few cool effects and ot would be a 9/10.
The text is cool, the colors flow, the border is good. Just keep working on it.
Well for a total first siggy, you atleast showed that you got a sense of how the stuff is supposed to be done. You'll do good in the future. :)
