for first work its ok
but its hard to read text on 2, and remove the outer glow
you should also change bg color of 2nd
akihibara hyper (font) would be perfect on 1

Do not use many colors contrasted... it really sucks, but for your first try is ok...
Would be nice some kind of border on the first one... I agree with Jhewt about the second...

maybe reposition the text and add a border on the first one and it could look really good
