I suggest you change the background a bit, the colors are way too much contrast for my eyes.
Maybe just put a grey layer over it and put opacity down to 25-40%.

Yea, my first edited version had about the right color. Maybe a bit too dark.
That wasnt even on purpose I just wanted to edit the purple.
Why would I need a user panel or contact button? The "Settings" link takes you to the user control panel.
Oh actually a login panel would be necessary. It is a marketplace, after all. Or is that just going at that top strip part...?
The top strip currently says "Welcome back, Cherk (Settings - Logout)" .. for guests it shows "Welcome back, Guest (Login - Register)".
It takes you to a login page.
