I feel that with the way it looks right now, it looks too much like a splash page. A homepage should be more of an introduction of the website. Whether it be a written introduction, latest news on the site, or even your latest work listed. I just feel it needs more umph.
EDIT:
Also with all the navigation on it, it makes the actual navigation quite redundant.

Someone said the homepage is an introduction that is a stereotype i have come across thousands of pages that use the homepage as a navigation through the site just like this one, I prefer it that way then you aren't cluttered with information it's there in front of you in an elegant manner.

criticism is given and I and any other receiver of criticism should change something in a better way that has been given.

atleast I dealt with the criticism given here and changed my homepage and improved it.
unlike you, you would have it stay the same..
