Well, I totally suck at making sigs but here are a couple I made for friends. Just wanted to if I was on the correct track..!!
This one came out pretty bad. I can say that. Got a lil blurry. Man-made mistake..
I feel this one came out the best..!!

First thing i notice is .. the canvas size is definatly too big .. im quite sure that you're adding the effects wrong .. the effects need to make the sig better .. but in your case they make it worst .. i strongly recommend you reading some photoshop tutorials .. and learn more about the basics untill you will start messing around .. good luck
