Yeah too much lighting.
Really to me what I see in alot of beginner signatures is just motion blur under a render, try adding some more effects. The pen tool is a good option but make sure it blends with the flow of your tag.

Its all smudging. if i added any effects to the sig it would totally ruin it, don't worry i tried.
I will tone down on the lighting.
The amount of lighting is there because it creates the shadow that the smudging supports. Sort of adding depth.
Does that matter lul?
If it end's up look exactly like a motion blur would cause, tell me what's the difference?
Maybe add some contrast/darken, it's hard to see the image. Or at least for me.

thats a bit of a high light source,
the focal is like the 50th attraction in that sig
