Erm, maybe put the text next to the gas mask. make it white, and make it somehow stand out more.
quite hard to explain, though =\ I would say, "make it shiny" but idk.

Other than that it's nice...
I really like it.
The dicintegrating effect used of the images to the left and right of the render are amazing, the render flows well with it's surroundings and has a general sence of stability.
Although, the text is not too great of spot.
Like you, i am terrible with text. (although i am probably worse.)

No, i believe the cone you currently display is much more... idk... its just amazingly cool!
Looks very nice, good work :) and like others said, do something different with text.
