As you can tell this is because of my 1,000th post, Why not post it in the outerworld ? Well because I feel this is my pub, you might think this is in the wrong section so I made the above "sig" ;). This is not a spam post to make it clear, this post is giving my idea on people and the forum after thousand posts, second part when at two thousand, etc etc ... You get the idea.
Here is after 1,000 posts my idea about the people, again this is about the most in the portfolio which is another reason why I posted it here.
b1znt4ch: I took you as my apprentice, tought you some lessons then let you go on your own (photoshop offcourse) and well, your way better :)
Ionic & Schizo: You never failed to make me laugh in each of your posts :) pls keep doing so in the future.
Kaoii: You helped me out alot when I first became a mod, took the time for me, so much respect to you :)
Exclamatio: Same as with Kaoii tbh, respect ;).
Shadow Death & Psypher: Never menshioned this but your graphics keep amazing me every time I see them. Keep it up.
Ramuthra: You've become a real mate so much respect man.
List: Well, obvious you brought me here so thanks go off to you.
And there are many others, pls don't feel left out if I forgot you in here.
My view on the forum: When you think its already at its best it keeps improving, that makes this one of the most unique forums out there, so hat off to MentaL and the rest of the modding team (incl/excl me ?)
Here are a few important PS lessons which made me to the point I am know:
- Take the time to do your graphics, I make all my sigs in 5 minutes I know but I still spend hours and hours at a single Music Video.
- Be inspired by another gfx. I was inspired by a certain template a few years ago, which I still cannot equivelate (is this the right word for it, I don't know)
- Never base your style on someone else's. locust sais this alot, and tbh he is bloody right alltough he doesn't always say it on the appropriate way.
- If you see and comment someone else's work. Do not look at it but observe it. Think what steps the artist did to make it and learn from it. I have learned alot this way.
Thats about it for this. Here are some more graphics so that this wouldn't be a post stamped with the idea that its in the wrong section.
(the attachement is a render I vectorized in Illustrator. This can also be done in PS but in Illustrator its easyer. If I got the time I'll post a tutorial about this.
