The Background's fine.. as you said "Simplicity FTW".. I'll give it an 8 out of 10..

It starts the blur out a little to much, but the light brushes make a nice web effect.

Overall it gives a nice effect, just thought parts of the render became to "shiny"

I intentionally lightened up those parts to get that "Darkness to Light" look and also the motion effect. Well, let be it now. In no mood to edit that. :D

Added in a few lighting effects here and there and changed the color tone a lil bit. Temme how it came out now :D
