You are wrong. The thing is, supporting companies of Infantry went belly up after the bubble burst. Sony eventually picked them up and realized they were losing money, so they made it pay to play. We're changing all that as I type this.
A more accurate and shorter answer : SOE are fags who are gasping for air since none pay for their gay games.

I'd just take donations. I'm pretty sure Infantry would've been better off on a donation based system lol
sony charges 6.95 a month for access to 3 games... only 2 of which are playable... that tank game just stinks :p

once you download the game you never had to go back to the website again. this means all web ads do nothing at all except for new people since they have an auto updater for the game.
some of their servers stink now. they ruined the rpg server by making it really really hard to get enough stats to be able to play your char. and even if you decide to try and get the exp to get the stats you have to put up with group rapers that just wait for newbies on that server so they can blow them away and they laugh at ya lol :p before they changed that server to be like this I had a decent char. then they added armor my char went from decent to average. then they add the stats and this is my char now

actually it really is sorta funny their is at most 30-45 people on that server now take that into 5 rape groups and 15 newbie types and you get what it would be like since the newbies are on their own and get raped in less than 5 shots normaly :p lol I love infantry so much. its an obsession lol :p
still my fav thing got me 3000 exp in one kill I got chased by one rape group ran into another they started fighting I started randomly shooting and killed one yay lol :p

Nor is SubSpace, if you have noticed (not mine, but have been a part of it for many years in one way or another), and Infantry is not much different from SubSpace (aside being a better engine).
Nor are most of the private servers out there for all sorts of games.
It's about people trying to have better fun, on a friendlier &/ professional place, instead of on the service which charge you to screw you up the ass.
We're better than HG in that we're not setting out to make money but instead just having fun. That's how I see it.
