Some problems with a DR Private server

Ok, so I followed the guide, restored the DB's etc, then setup the servers after running the bats, (changed the IP's too to mine etc) and hosting the servers they all seem to be communicating with eachother no plant error or anything, Great.
I download the latest client and change Dragon.ini to my ip, then i run the game using the .bat file, the client doesnt even communicate with the servers at all.
I have a Linksys make internet router and im trying to play lan only.
Ive been racking my brain trying to figure this out so if anyone with a bit more experience in the matter could help, I would apprieciate it greatly.

Sorry for my late reply, "holidays".. anyway.
Yes, I have ran the client with a .bat file, my IP's are all pointing to 192.168.1.101 and I have opened all the ports on my linksys router. Hosting the server works fine so Im thinking the problem is with the client. I just get a "invalid username/pw" error like its not communicating with the server.
    any ideas?

(oh and I just want to run it on lan).

Your client can't connect or your friends client who is trying to play on your server?

Edit: Just seen you said that it is only for lan

It would be nice to see your .ini's to make sure they are indeed correct.
