Cutenews Hackable

I've heard that Cutenews is really easy to crack, and most sites with it will be hacked.

Has it been figured out what the problem is, and how to fix it? I'd like to run CuteNews, and am a bit iffy if it was not been fixed.

Would anyone have a fix for it? (I do not want to ask on the official forum)

Do you know any softwares similar to it? I want something with not many features.

I might be able to give you a customized version of WysGui, or maybe it's just right.

What features do you want, specifically?

I just want a basic article posting from one administrator, and have a comment system for the members. (Only registered members can comment)

And with a UserCP as mentioned above. I don't want any other features.

sign in,
update account,
admin article management
user comment on articles (if enabled, [add, edit, delete])

Why you don't want to ask on official forums? Makes no sense, considering there is probably only very few number of members, if any, that have used cutenews.
