Though I dont like chrome, the only reason I have it on my PC, to add cross browser support to websites I design and code (sometimes).

There is no such thing as "privacy" anymore. If somebody wants to find out information about you, and they have the resources they WILL get it. Doesn't matter if you are the most secure person out there, or never owned a computer in your life.
Which is why the kids in grade school/middle school now days have no concept of privacy. They were brought up with facebook and cell phones. Half the shit they do blows my mind, but when you look back how we were brought it, it's completely different.
Times change, privacy is gone.

You can start where ever you want. Whether it's them scanning your emails, wanting all info from FB before they let FB synchronize (of course FB is just as bad, if not worse then Google) or them collecting data while snapping pictures around the country.
The simple fact is that Google wants all the info they can get and they will use all possible ways to get it. Look at their OS which will be all online, everything you do will be saved online. Google came in our homes as the alternative to large companies such as Microsoft. Right now they hurt our privacy more then MS does.
You are right, privacy is mostly gone, but the last thing you should do is make it even worse. There is no reason to use Chrome, there are better alternatives. And no, I'm not talking about FF.
I like crome for the fact that if a tab crashes, only that tab closes, not the entire browser, but that's pretty much it. What do you use?
You go around claiming a lot things without ANY evidence to back it up. Then telling me to look for sources is not how it works.
P.S You can specify what and how much info google collects on you.
Same here I got all browsers for windows (only because I wanted to be sure it crosses all the browsers)
