Threads like this one have likely been on Usenet before most of the posters here were born. Shouldn't the original idea get the award? :?:

This makes me SMH and LOL. Some people are just idiots, comments where created for a reason, if you don't want to use them then have to take 30 extra minutes to learn how you did some code from two years ago, be my guest, idiots. I on the other hand, will continue to use my comments and get paid for the programs I make, works for me and if that makes me not a "real" programmer than I am a fake programmer that makes real money. :)
Calm down it's just a joke.. All of those were untrue and/or over-the-top just for laughs.
If these were true, there'd be very few "real programmers" left (Ex: Ralph H. Baer and Mel Kaye.. Or see The Story of Mel). Now-a-days, programmers don't get recognized for coding on the bare metal... And specs are obviously a good thing- come on it's obvious it's a joke, isn't it? There's a little bit of history and truth mixed in, but it's for laughs.
A real programmer doesn't have time to read ragezone threads, he's busy programming.
