Google can't seem to find much to back that theory up.
But as far as i'm concerned if it's not compiled into an executable it wasn't written in a programming language.

C and C++ always be mainstream languages.
I'm using python as programming language , for functions that uses a lot of CPU i wrap it as c or c++ code using pyrex or swig and everything works excelent :).
I'm using pyOgre and Soya3d as 3d engines.:)
It not that Java powerless than C++. Who'll need access memory address, cpu functions,... Not much. With fully support OO, code written in jave easy maintain and read, and it can be reuseable.
If C++ far more power than Java then Assembly far more power than C++. There is no lang is the best, but there is a lang is the best for...
BTW my most fav is C#
try the more you can and choose the one you get more confortable with... simple
