im not really a huge fan of this band, its called as i lay dying.

their album has more toned down growled vocals same with the music video.

but the yahoo performance one has sick growls, i mean its a death metal vocalist that went mainstream.

big plus!!!

the thing that he should do is quit that band and get in a real death metal band.

listen to the video shadows are security the yahoo performance one, i swear he has better tonal range that most of the swedish growlers...

Well actually, how about growling that you can understand?

Back to topic, sometimes growling sounds really kickass, and sometimes it doesnt fit in at all =/.

Also yeah, some singers just sound diffrent when they're singing live and what not...

exactly my point.

my favorite singer of all time is the guy from blind guardian, he just kicks ass.

favorite screecher has to be shagrath of dimmu borgir.

favorite growler is the guy from vader, its old school style, very clean yet very very dark.

but the most talented metal singer ever is king diamond, he has tonal pitch/range off the ying yang, he can raise and lower 2-3 octaves while keeping a clean sound.
