Anyone play guitar here? Question for you

Do you find it harder to scale downwards all the way, or to scale down 2 strings, then repeat the second string, then repeat that pattern?

I find it harder to go all the way down :| I realised when i was learning the arch enemy-angelclaw solo, heres a clip of what i mean http://www.solong.co.uk/noclicktrack.mp3 (the run is at the beginning of the solo)

Yes. It is much harder to scale all the way down for me, but I have small hands. I've heard that song and that solo is awsome. It all depends on how someone plays really. I know someone who finds it harder to repeat the pattern.

If you could post the tab I could give you some pointers on what you are probably doing wrong.

Also, it isnt a matter of how big or small your hands are that determines how well you've played. I knew a guy who was 4'7'' (hand size is proportional to height) and within 3 years of playing the guitar he could easily play Eruption. The only thing that matters is how bad you want to reach your goals and how much you are willing to work towards them.

So my other question is how long have you been playing?

I know it's not about your hand size. But, a person with bigger hands and therefore longer fingers will not have to strain as much as someone who had small hands(shorter fingers). And also a person with longer fingers will be more finger agile then someone with short fingers(most of the time). I mean, I can scale it's just that it is harder than repeating a pattern for me.

Finger size does not matter, ignore Iron_Maiden you will only get discouraged.
