it depends on what type of music.

i love 60s music and motown pwns.

(im not just a metalhead, i like variety)

as for rock/metal influencing that would be the 80s hands down.

metal probably was the best during the 90s, that was before In Flames got new influencing and now...well arent melo-death at all anymore.

Children of Bodom/Inearthed(pre-CoB) and Black Label Society arose in the 90s.

it all depends on what you like.

as for me metalwise, its the 90s/now.

for any other type of music 60s/80s for me :D
