    Buying guitar

I don't know if this is the right place but

I'm deciding to buy another electric guitar to replace my cheap knockoff strat.
Preferably I want brand names like Gibson, Ibanez, ESP, and Epiphone. and I don't like fender, sorry.

Budget is not higher than $2500 though

Please could you suggest electric guitars with the brand I mentioned that are bang for the buck and good for gigs and studio. It doesnt matter if its a Tele/Stratcaster, Les Paul or so.

And it's not like im not searching, i just want suggestions. Thanks

I'm currently considering Gibson - Les Paul Studio
btw i have a marshall mg50dfx combo amp, will buy other amp later on.

Shit with a $2500 budget you're talken nice customs...

But it all depends on what style of music you want to play really.

    Re: Buying guitar

Ok 2500$? you better not bet shitting me son, I can go on forever.
Stay away from Gibson's and other mainstream, EXCEPT, Ibanez, and Fender.

For your Blues playing I suggest this,
Baja Telecaster - The shadow of the stratocastor. This guitar has been overlooked mainly due to the popularity of the strat. It has a 2 pickup, the bottom pick up will give you some of greatest twang you will EVER HEAR. The neck pickup has some classy smooth clean jazzy sound. The heck is thin, smooth and easy to play. You can even improve the sound by upgrading the pickups with after market parts. This has been the greatest investment in my life! great guitar, proud to own one!

    P.S, try to avoid strats.

    For your heavy metal side,
Ibanez RG Series- There's a lot of guitars company that focused on the "Heavier" style of music. Jackson Guitars, the well renown Dean Guitars, Gibson. But none of those come close to what Ibanez has achieved with the glorious RG series, my god, I could go for DAYYYYYYSSSSS to tell you how amazing this instrument. I own the cheaper version, and it rivals any other overpriced guitar out there, In the right hands, only your imagination is the limit.

The most versatile guitar out there,
Ibanez PGM - Ok, I had the privilege of playing this guitar couple years ago (301 model) Let's just put, I was ready to sell one of my kidneys or one of my testicles for this.
This guitar has everything you could dream of! It does anything you want! Feeling like playing the blues? Bam it's there, feeling funky? Bam it's there, Feeling like playing like nigel? Bam it's there. The only thing this guitar doesn't do is play itself. In the right hands this guitar can definitely destroy the world, a true definition of an "Axe". If you're ready to break the piggy bank, I would recommend buying this guitar.

    Re: Buying guitar

Since we budgeting for mass gear I'll give you my recommendations and note... I got HIGH END guitars and amps so there are from my experiences and interactions.

    AMP: Peavey Vypyr
Guitar: Agile AL-3000M CSB w/Case at RondoMusic.com ; This is a Gibson clone, very very HIGH quality replica.

With the amp you may want to get a sampera 2 pedal for foot switching and possibly an external noise gate.

That will cover you for a long time. The vypyr can cover all ranges as its a modulation unit that takes all the great peavey amps and outputs it via this fantastic amp. I got one I dont use it but my mate uses his allot and its great, Fantastic if your budgeting.

There is a tube version too. I got the vypyr 75 thats LOUD and powerful. The agile guitars are fantatic replica guitars, well made and most people will buy a poser guitar but dont be a poser, if you cannot get the real deal get an agile.

Oh ok, Then definitely look up one of the ones I suggested, Both of the Tele and RG are under 1k (They're great guitars) Which leaves you with plenty of money for accessories. Try avoiding buying custom or vintage guitar, You're just buying name, not quality.

Not really, my best guitar I got is a Jem77V which is more than that High end guitars = guitar for life which generally do not loose value and can increase over the years.
