Overrated* some of my friends used to be hardcore fans (Guitar Hero 3) until they saw them live, lol, little did they know they get drunk before playing live and blow everything away. Herman Li is way overrated guitarist too, MY OPINION, love seeing kids this day talking about how amazing he is.
I'd give 'em a 5 out 10. They have incredible skills, each member by himself. But man, the drummer and the vocalist freak me out, and kinda ruin the band IMO. The guitar dudes have awesome, very complex, and very interesting riffs, but dude, the drummer's like got about... say, 2 or 3 patterns that he repeats over and over. The vocalist guy - well, I dunno, I just don't like his voice XD

9/10 because i like them but still they sound kinda "plastic" to me...I cant actually describe it.
Sorry i love power metal maybe most of all metal geners but DF is just ... just not worth the time GH made them big sorry to say that... they maybe an amazying studio band but live they are ZERO ! HammerFall till the end :P look them up live :) well my opinion no offence to anyone .
I like DF a lot. Hate the fact that so many people say that their songs sound the same. Its really only their newest album with that problem

all there music sounds the same (no new material), herman li is really cocky thinking he's better than, there keyboard is sometimes mistaken for there guitar *cough* ttfaf and most dragonforce fans are just people who saw it on gh3 and are freaking out and acting like they knew them for a long tyme.

There not that great. They should mabey try to be be a Heavy Metal Band imo. Like most people i have talked to in R/L same as in RZ they suck Live.

I hate the way Guitar Hero III has made them so big.
I listened to them a few years back, before they were well known, and I'd be like "Have you heard of DragonForce?" and people would look at me like I was talking about a crappy kids cartoon.
Then when they're released on GHIII everyone is like "OMFG THEYRE GREAT! TTFAF IS MY FAVE" because that's the only song they've heard. -_-
As for being a crap band live, I'd have to agree there, but their studio side is amazing. I like DragonForce but a lot of people will disagree with me.
