well.....all time favorite would probably have to be..... eh... probably "children of bodom" Everything i have heard from them i completely like and its got good feel to it.
But at the moment my favorite would be "Opeth." I cant believe i never got into them before. Beautiful guitar work and everything. I just dont really dig the vocals =/. Check out some songs from the cd "morningrise"

there are more bands that i like... most are Hard rock/Metal(black,death...bla bla bla)
My favouirite band is the Red Hot Chili Peppers - First real band I ever listened to and still am everything that they have produced has nailed it for me from the era when they did soul to funk, etc.
If its only one track you liten to from them make it Californication.
My other is Muse - As Matt Bellamay is such a talented musican who plays piano, guitar and is able to sing amazingly well. Most and ideas and techiniques on guitar have been done during the 70s and 80s but Matt is able to bring a whole new meaning to guitar playing.
