    foobar2000 configurations!

    foobar2000 configurations!

Alright, if anyone uses foobar2000 help this thread out and post a picture, and if you're really nice, your configurations of foobar2000!

This following the trend of the Hydrogenaudio forums section dedicated to it, i'd like to see if anyone at RaGEZONE uses the infamous foobar2000.

    What is foobar2000?---------------------------

For those of you who do not know what foobar2000 is, it's a highly configurable audio player (no video), making a name for itself the last year or two with a lot of people joining the community down at Hydrogenaudio.
It also has a LOT of plugins avaliable for it for things such as MSN Status changers to what song you are listening to, all the way over to gui modifications.

One of the most liked areas of foobar2000 is that it uses nearly 0 resources on your CPU, unlike Windows Media Player, or the popular Winamp.

    Getting started---------------------------

If you want to start using foobar2000, head over to the website and get it, if you need help there is a wiki avaliable HERE. *Make sure to read up on its features*

I apologize if you get lost from the moment you open the player wondering why the other guy has a cool looking foobar2000, but it requires a bit of work to get going how you'd like it.

    My Configuration---------------------------

This is my current config, I havn't got around to changing the buttons or adding song ranking yet.

    *WINAMP VERSION SOON

*FOR INFORMATION ON foobar2000, visit my other thread: http://forum.ragezone.com/music-loun...ml#post1488759

    > Install Samurize.

    > Reboot your computer.

    > Open up the .rar with my configuration and drag 'n' drop the folder in to your Samurize installation directory.

    > Open the Samurize 'Instance Manager' from Program Files.

    > Click the little eyeball with a green + on it, and name your Instance.
    (I named mine foobark)

    > Next click the Instance name, then click the eyeball with a pencil on it.

    > Select the options which best suit your needs, up top click the little button and select my configuration, by default it should open the config folder where the configuration is stored, it's called foobark.ini.

    > When you've selected your options, click ok and proceed to click the eyeball with a green arrow on it which will execute the script and it will load up on your desktop in the bottom lefthand corner.

It takes a bit to get use to, but it supports so much stuff.
I could write out a huge list of things ONTOP of the numerous amount of codecs it uses, FLAC, Monkey, MP3, MPC, OGG, etc.

I think I still have foobar on my gateway (I'm on the hp) but I never knew how to use it. I guess I could just play around with it :)

Go here: musicmusic's foobar2000 stuff - components, download the Columns UI plugin, put it in your foobar2000 > components directory, reload foobar2000 and when it asks you to load the columns ui module do it, then right click directly on the player in a grey space and select the Volume Bar, you can then un-lock the layout and shift it re-size it however you like.
