Hi,
I'm in a metalcore band and I've recently wrote these lyrics and I need some feedback and constructive criticism to help me improve on them; these mean a lot so I want to make them absolutely perfect before my band starts to make music for them.

It was written in the skies that one day you'd leave,
I was unprepared for the worst and my heart wepted and grieved
We never said our goodbyes and words were left unsaid
Watching you in pain as you lie sorrowly in your bed
How could I said goodbye when I kept hope instilled in my heart
Drowning doubts of leaving, so I'll carry upon your part you engraved in
this world
So when I see you next I can say I made you proud!
