Usenet win from torrents
Torrents win from software like limewire
Actually downloading music's from the internet Isn't illegal [depends on the situation] .
What is illegal is to share that music in a 'bad way', for example , selling the music . D:
Please try your hardest not to revive this thread as it's not worthy of survival.
But Limewire/frostwire is a load of crap filled with infected files.
But the ones who've got the brain and don't download the 117 KB files won't get infected.
If it's a music file then it's bound to be 3000+ kb. Music vidoes are 28+ mb. Movies are 500+ mb.
Just gotta remember those 3 facts then you'll have a less chance of getting infected.
Limewire for me. ;]
Limewire all the way.
Because some countries any warez of the internet is legal, like Russia for example, shutting down the progam would be an invasion of privacy for the hosters in Russia, although have no idea where limewire is hosted from..don't use it, 99% of songs on torrents/p2p can be found via HTTP transfer which is the fastest most reliable way without worrying about uploading/downloading at same time. Warez is slowly becomming legal in more and more countries. Good way to get songs is trade off ipods at school and rip the songs onto your comp =p.
Both illegal.
But LimeWire would win more programs.
And should be BearSharevLimeWirevFrostWire :D
Limewire becuase more people use it = more uploads its like rapidshare
I lol'd.
'Genious' indeed.
Anyways, being the genius I am I refuse to use torrents, Limewire, whatever... there is no way I'm going to sacrifice my upload bandwidth so someone can obtain files I had downloaded. No, I am not greedy - I am realistic. My ISP charges for every GB over my allotted monthly limit.
And I'm sick of the 'patience' argument - if I pay for a 8Mbps downstream connection, I want to fully utilize it. If that means paying a couple extra dollars for a newsgroup account, where I'm always able to max my connection, no wait times, ridiculously low amounts of time to download HD content then so be it.
Say if I/someone had a application which you type in the mp3downloads.com* and downloads the whole site, would it download every single song (aswell as everything else from that) or say if we had the same application except for you can choose file extensions of .mp3 etc
*just made that website up, may be real, may be fake just pretend it has like 50,000 songs
I don't use LimeWire or FrostWire.
I use Russian DDL dumpsites and private DC++ hubs.
I do share my music collection on SoulSeek, though, but that's likely to change in the near future considering the abundance of anti-piracy bots on there these days.
KCeasy > frostwire > limewire
