Heres an RSE sound demo (of a song you may recognise):
    MIDI: http://213.251.138.58/~gpdownlo/gp5/mp3/20m.mp3
    RSE: http://213.251.138.58/~gpdownlo/gp5/mp3/20r.mp3

    My Opinion:
Damn it. What a let down.

Basically, tried it, got so excited...maybe too excited and well...it was a let down.

The RSE [Realistic Sound Eng...] Wasn't the best. Either the sound lacks in bass or has an overly sounding reverb or whatever. The drums...gah...filth...pure filth.

screw you guys, im getting it anyway ;P
also, all of the tabs on the rz-music site will be GP5 format, PowerTab format, and plain old text. theres 2 spots left for tab requests on the site, so check the sticky to request one!

you guys are all noobs -_-
i just illegally downloaded GP5 and the good CLEARLY outweighs the bad. slides no longer sound terrible, the guitar sounds are better than general midi, and vibrato sounds GREAT now (thank god, it was so annoying in GP4).

you can also import from powertab.

unless you carefully go over everything in the program, dont diss it, because it's miles better than GP4 and the latest version of powertab.

It might be good for guitar, but what about everything else? They improved the guitar quality but everything else is severely lacking.

see the program is called Guitar Pro. It's only meant to tab for Guitars and have the other not-so-important stuff in the background. Also, your forgetting the other cool features.. like:

    - Sheet music format
    - Better tablature signs
    - Effects sound much more real
    - Human-playing which makes it sound like an actual human playing instead of a machine
(they make timing mistakes, etc, depending on how crappy you make them)

well the bass sucks, the drums also suck a bit, the distortion guitar sounds weird, and some other ones too.
the only one that actually sounds good is the overdriven guitar.
i've noticed some problems with the slides there, it ignores them some times (no idea why).

anyway, if you want it to sound just like the old gp's, press f2.

    and you call us n00bs....

Anyway. I've used guitar pro extensively. I can tell you most of the ins and outs of it and the new RSE system is what i dislike about it.
The Tab and Notation layout - Top marks.
    No errors - Excellent.

I say it was a let down because it's like relasing a patch for GP4 to be honest. Take away the RSE and what do you have left? A patch. That's my point ...

Oh and by the way is the music site up? Willing to help out.
