Its funny you say that because you still can't even understand what Lil Wayne says when he uses
    auto tune for his voice.
    xD
My cousin and I hate the mainstream rap out now, I always make fun of him
and ask if he has any Carter on his iPod that I can listen to.
People you guys should really listen to.
J Dilla, A Tribe Called Quest, MF DOOM, Joe Buden(His mixtapes, not mainstream crap), ect :D

I don't listen to rap much either, i usually listen to techno (it's what chicks go for )
But Lil Wayne has some nice tunes, when he does a song on his own, it's not that good, but when it's with another good rapper, the song is good

I hate when he sings with his dad (birdman), they go all gangminded

Anyways, i'd still give lil wayne respect. but my fav, gutta stick with Dr.Dre!

Weezy is Wayne right? and Wayne has been out since he was young, he just hasn't
got all this attention since now.

I laugh at your idiocy and ignorance.

1: What does it sound like to you? Soul? Let it be soul then. I'd rather it sound good as soul than like shit as hip-hop (i.e. Lil Wayne). He is a popular (bay area) rapper, and still sounds better than half of what's on the radio.

2: That's what truly saddens me. Kids are so close-minded towards music because they're aboard the bandwagon. I'm sure you haven't ever taken a listen to anything that wasn't on the radio.
Yeah, all of these rappers have commercialiazed the game, it has fucked everything up, so, I've turned to underground artists, ala Immortal Technique

Lil Wayne is nowhere close to being on that pedestal. Lil Wayne is one of the commercial rappers, with writers who write lyrics they think are easy to remember and are popular, when really they make shit sense. Why you would put Weezy and Jeezy on your list, that shows you have no knowledge of hip-hop whatsoever, Dr. Dre and Eminem have earned their way to be expected to be on the list, but Wayne? No. My top ten pans out as:
    1: Tupac
    2: B.I.G
    3: Nas
    4: K.R.S
    5: Wu-Tang
    6: Jay-Z
    7: Eminem
    8: N.W.A
    9: Immortal Technique
    10: Jadakiss

I respect your opinion and all, but never could you be so off.
