How did you start on lisenting to the music you lisent to now?

Dunno if this is a repost, did a fast check (didn't find it).

My story: I was introduced to dance and hard-dance by my friend in the early 2005. Then I started to lisent to trance, and I felt that I needed something more "powerfull", so I started on house, then club-house, but I thought that it wasn't IT, so he adviced me to lisent to some Rave, Hardstyle, Psy-Trance.. First I lisented to the rave, later on the psy-trance, but I needed something harder. And so I started on hardstyle which I am lisenting to now, but I'm also started on Tech-Trance, which I would say is simular to hardstyle, just with more tempo. And I am well amused by that.

Erm, well I already, from my parents, listened to music by artists such as Bon Jovi, Stereophonics etc. As I got to about the 10 stage I started going with the crowd listening to rap and what not. About 2/3 years later I started listening to Linkin Park and a friend advised me to listen to Limp Bizkit around that time too (thought they sucked, still do). But yeah I started listening to Linkin Park and Rage Against the Machine, pretty much around the same time my close friends started listening to more rock songs and althought rap was still my main genre it started to grow on me as more friends started to introduce all these different bands to me. From there I just developed and started liking more rock/metal bands and here I am now at 17 loving it xD

Got interested in a guitar, and found out it's better listening to a whole range of different types of music.

Started listening to more rock stuff when I was about 13 (Nick?). Then got into metal about a year later, and then around about 15 got into blues/jazz, and then fusion.

Always liked orchestral/classical ;)

Nah, well the neighbourhood guys used to listen to hip - hop and as I used to walk by that was my first likings of music(heard some bullshit love songs on the tv, never liked it though).
