    I need a recording tool!

I need a recording tool for a ragezone project i'm working on. Just an application that'll let me do the following. I wanna plug my Roland Fantom X8 keyboard in via USB, I wanna be able to play some shit and then record it as an MP3 or WAV file, and I want it to be in perfect clarity, as if itd sound like I was playing through my amplifier and recording it on a perfect microphone.

Remember, I need this for a ragezone project, so please help.

    maybe cakewalk?

something like that would be sufficient, doesnt the fantom have on board mp3/wav encoding to a media slot for playing?

just pull out the memory card if it does and transfer the recording

Another good one is Adobie Addition (not free, unless you know where to find it...)

Adobie Addition is for the more advanced user though...
