Music is getting to the point where people, mainly black guys that want to be famous, people are just making a beat, saying some random ass words they consider rap and maybe tossing some melody over it that you hear is just about every song.

Well crappy since to be a harsh word to use but at some point I do agree.
Well musicianship nowadays are not as effective as before. Most specially those musics that main intentions are for money and not for the love of music.
If you listen to music from the eighties today, it so wonderful to listen to. Even the young ones appreciates it, they get amazed of the musicianship.
Compared to music todays where even an umbrella would be sang, no offense the sound is great its just that I see no point of telling me what an umbrella can do. Yes, maybe its relating to how he/she feels but ain't it quite too obvious? Hehe
Songs by Fra Lippo Lippi - they are good.
Just stating my point, not to cause a commotion.
I don't think music is getting worse. It's just the crap music is becoming more popular, if you get me? Like all the mainstream music you hear on the Radio/TV etc. is plain dump and it's getting worse. Say you'd used to hear bands such as Queen and Bon Jovi, you'll now hear shit like Lil Wayne and Rhianna. Hell I'm not joking but I heard my sister playing a song the other day which just repeated 'Halo' throughout most of the song and it drove my Mum, Step-dad and me crazy, I swear she must have had it on loop too. There is quite a bit of talent though, like Beyonce for example, she sounds amazing live or studio. But most of the good music you've got to dig to find.

Nothing better then going out to used record stores, picking up a few random punk/metal/rock vinyls/records that are 99c, or cheap packs of them, and going home and listening to new "old" stuff. I agree, new music is all following a basic guideline, making it all sound the same, but there is enough of the old stuff to go around.
Music is just plain crap now, everyone sings about the same thing now, hoes, money, gangs, love, that's it, or they remake a old song.
But there are SOME songs that are different and good, but mostly everything is dieing now, espsecially hip-hop.
Music on a whole is taking a turn for the worst but there are some artists out there that are continuing to make some wicked music.
Theres periods when songs get boring, you just have to keep browsing for new music, new gendres, new mixes
Bingo, its all the radio, once people hit the radio which is where you make a song and it doesn't have to make any shit of sense at all and retarded people will dance to them and listen to them. Once an artist realizes "omg I can make money if my songs play on the radio" they try to make the best radio songs they can so they can get rich, they basically sell out and whore themselves out to the radio, they end up throwing away skill (if any they had before) for money. Don't blame them, but I do blame the radio, and people that listen to it. The radio ruins many things sadly... This is why I stick to 'underground' or 'unknown' artists. I've been a witness to an underground artist getting fame via means of the radio, ever since that happened the artist completely changed... Their music was never the same.
It's just because you get older. I love 90's music and hate most of 2000+ music. Seems like only 10+/- years have past, but music changed dramatically. I see that nowadays music is more about cars, money, girls and showing your riches, showing how rich you are, how much this and how much that you have.
I just feel that music is not art anymore, it's businesses.
I guess with each new generation a new style of music comes out. I would say that people born in 2000+ would like the music heard on the radio more then older types of music.
I myself, like all kinds. Dance music such as metal, rock, trance, and even pop sometimes.
Or slow types of music such as josh groban. Recently ive gotten into my own languages music, ukranian. But i do give russian music a chance.

Its not much popish as it is unique. Him being able to go that high when most women cant is kinda awesome ;P.
SO ANYWAY MY POINT BEING!
Listen to the music that suits YOU best and stop complaining about other music.
Kinda like the saying; One Man's Trash, Another Man's Treasure
People don't realize how useful Myspace actually is for finding new music.
They really do have some amazing people on there.
Music is never crap you just have to expand your horizons, even if music is produced to the point where you could make it yourself quite easily in your bedroom, it doesn't matter because if it's popular someone is obviously enjoying it and that's what's important. I don't think you're getting old because i used to only listen to new mathcore/speed metal and really despised modern dance and pop because i thought it was terribly written and far too easy to create with modern technology. However now i'll gladly sit in a club and listen to anything the dj plays and get up and dance (and have fun), it's just about being open.
Change is always good.
