Bought this album today, just like to say its a fucking cracker. Some really good quality tracks. Deffo recommended, any Kanye fan should buy it! Some strange songs tho, sounds like a differnt style of Hip-Hop basically. Maybe changed for the better? Any1 else bought it or heard some of the singles on his album and liked them?
Post this kinda stuff in the music section...
It's on my evergrowing list of CDs I will buy EVENTUALLY.
As of late I haven't paid much attention to major releases from the US.
Last Hip-hop CD I bought was Higher Forces by Phi-Life Cypher (<--UK stuff)
agreed, music section is better for material like this.
since i dont like hip-hop/rap or anything of that nature i give the album overall 1/10 (at least it made it to stores)

i dont like straight hip-hop...i like very very well planned out music.
thats why i dont like hardcore punk/rap and all of that other stuff.
in hardcore, most bands focus around 1 damn gutar riff per song, and their choruses are usually in 1 or 2 chords cause the vocalist doesnt have the "talent" to scream at different tonal ranges.
now go look at in flames, some people call them metalcore, well in a sense it is hardcore metal, but not the hardcore people are thinking, not this other bullshit.
the vocalist from in flames can change his voice up and down seamlessly from shriek to growl no problem, and do excellent clean vocals aswell, he even has a band called passenger, here is the link www.passenger.ru
also cradle of filth is a perfect example.
some of their songs are straight clean vocals, cause dani can howl, and is extremely good at it too, he can do the dark, disturbing low one voice for interludes/intro, then howl, sometimes though they revert to their death metal elements and he does growl sometimes, but it is in time/pitch with the music.

its your stlye of music, i post my opinion on what i think, that is what this section is for, granted you like rap you probably dont like metal, i would expect the same post from you.
im not saying the music is completely horrible, i just like music that has the little something to it, for you its rap, for me its metal.
true its what the section is for not what the thread is for. If you think metal is better than hip hop make a thread about it, do not post it on a thread aimed at an artisits new album. All music has somthing to it. I appreciate all music. I just like some genres more than others. But I wouldnt post how I prefer it and why on a thread you made called passengers new album would I.
I've heard the song Golddigger, and I really like it. Like you said, it's kinda a different style of rap. Which is good, cuz I've been getting tired of rap. But Kanye's just got something special about him. (even if he seems a little egotistical) He's got talent.
