MMM kinda never liked heavy metal, few songs maybe, more into death, black metal and both melodic versions to.My favourite bands atm : in flames (till 2002), nargaroth (black metal should be like this), vehemence (wicked lyrics :D ) , amon amarth (kick ass viking metal), vader (death metal should be like this), behemoth (same as vader), insomnium (the way melodic death metal should be :) ), satyricon (they just rule! ) oh and how could i forget dimmu borgir !
Dude, Metal is music to go away with it. They actually sing about real life, about people's feelings and such. Rap, now a these days, are all about sex, drugs, money, and well basicly sexual stuffs. Maybe im wrong, i dont know, I dont listen to it, or ever read news from it.
Metal frees me from the sh!t hole i live in. Its just so amazing how it can steal you, and make you love it. ATM im alot into Metallica, Slayer, and lots and lots of Black Metal stuffs like celcijus.
Its just very good music to me.
I agree metal has everything what u need, but first u need to understand it.Metal helps me allot when im full of anger, i just listen to few good songs and thats it im smileing again, this music gives good feelings and drains bad ones, no other can.Rap is not a music in my opinion, its pretty same as i would be banging my head onto wall and at same time droping spoons on floor and singing how my life sucks, mother help me, no1 understands me :D.I mean same lyrics, same beats all is same.
never got into nargaroth, but they are good, im more of a dark funeral/bathory type person.

Yeah Long-Live Metal! I would have to agree with you guys though. Rap is not music. Wanna become a rapper? Follow these 3 easy steps:
1) Add a cool catchy drum beat in the background while you are "Rapping."
2) Rythme words that are stupid enough to make you impotent. (Permanantly)
3) Have an I.Q equal to a glass of water.

Thats not what all rap is about....only crappy mainstream rap, which is EXCACTLY like main stream rock. To hear good rap, you have to find mostly underground stuff. Trust me, i wasnt into rap before because of 50 cent, kanye west, etc, but i heard some local MC's, and those are some of the sickest rhyming skills I've ever heard.
Well anywho, Heavy metal would be like Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, etc, you get what I'm talking about.

Converge is great shit. In Flame is amazing, amon amarth is great too. Lamb of God is nicely put together and makes for a great live show. And Gwar fucking rule you.
