Green Day I really don't like, my biggest problem with them is that they've stolen an image of something they're not to market they're music to people who buy into it and then instead of following through on that image they completely contradict themselves (which happens in their music alot too) and encourage a whole bunch of people to do the same.

Punk was ruined in part by people stealing the image and commercialization and it's a huge insult to see a band like Green Day come along. Other bands are catching on too and theres a whole fake punk culture being bought by more and more people everyday.

The music itself I don't like either, meaningless lyrics that contradict what they're about, mediocre vocals, simple drumming, etc etc.

Hitler has fans, does that make him good?

No but he represents a movement sameway Green Day represents a movement (more or less). You can't say that just because people follow something it makes it good.

Sorry, you lost me when you compared Hitler to Green Day :P

btw, I do get what you are saying, but I wouldn't use that analogy.

No Wonder more people would like hip-hop if they ever listened to Van Halen. Maybe some people like him, others dont. I am sure he has alot of fans like any music group, but that doesnt make me want to listen to his attempt at playing the guitar.

wow.........first of all LP is not that good..I admit they have some pretty good song....but it gets old...they dont realize that you can't mix "ROCK" with "RAP or HIP HOP" its just like Tim McGraw and Nelly trying to mix "Country" with "Rap" which = "FUCKED UP" they just dont get it...its like TRYING TO MIX WATER WITH OIL, YOU CANT!! GIVE IT UP BOYS

ooh Good old greenday...16 years?? thats how old they are. Hell, I even asked my parents if they know Greenday and yes they do. I have couple of their CD "Dookie" "warning" I think those are the best...BUt I do admit Greenday sometimes gets old and annoying Like now they Over play the "BLV of broken dreams" and its fucking bugging the shit out of me..but greenday is a Great Band......Sometimes :P :P :P
