But i like megadeth over both.
I pick Iron Maiden, only because they didn't make as many crappy albums as Metallica did.
When I say crappy, I mean just budget reinventions of previous albums.
Are you fuckin kidding me? Metallica wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Maiden. Iron Maiden are the gods of modern power metal. All Hail the Iron Maiden!
maiden kicks so much ass its not even funny. some kids from school wanted me to go to ozzfest with them, but i didnt want to since maiden wasnt gonna play anymore. then he went on to say ozzy, disturbed, and freakin system of a down are better than maiden, and THAT is quite possibly the dumbest thing i have ever heard. on another note, the maiden/trivium concert next year is gonna be the best show ever, just thought you guys should know :D

LAWL at that. No one "created rock and roll". The scene evolved. It ent from the cheasy labels of the beatles....to the ass kicking sounds of Judas Priest. All metallica did for the metal scene was make it famous...thats IT. Musicly...it was NOTHING revolutionary. Innovation goes to Maiden because of the classical style melodic guitar riffs...wich in that case was revolutionary.
But if one must label "who wouldnt be here without who", niether Metallica nor Maiden would esxsist with out Judas Priest. But then there would be noe priest without sabbath....BUT then there would be no sabbath without zeppelin..and so on. So each and every one of these bands contributed one step at a time to get the metal scene to what it is today.
