Well start recording then, you'll be surprised what I can do. ;)

I'm almost finished with the first song, but there are 4 or 5 pops that are giving me trouble. It's about 1am here, so I'll have to finish it tomorrow.

But I am finished with your second song. I think you'll be very pleased with my final result.

    Melodies of Life

P.S. The reason you're getting the popping sounds is because your mic is too close. Move it back a foot or two, and that "should" fix that problem.

i'm not using a mic. my Fantom X is plugged directly into the pc via the sound card. i think the problem is my cable, so i'm about to order this one:

Buy Monster Cable SP1000 Instrument Cable Straight-Angled at Musician's Friend

I hate using filters because anytime I do it makes my keyboard sound like a cracker box keyboard, when really this is what I'm playing on:

    Roland U.S. - Fantom-X8: Workstation Keyboard

.. so I'm hoping that the cable will fix my problem.

Well from my experiences changing a cable wont fix your problem. The popping is from something being peaked, which is most likely the sound card. It could be the cable, but that'd have to be a very low grade cable to cause buzzing and popping like that.

The popping is caused because of the volume being up too high on the keyboard itself.

Yeah, it's the volume of the keyboard which is peaking the sound card. It's the sound card (or cable "maybe") that's peaking.

Anywho, I'm still having a tough time on that first song. I've gotten rid of all of the buzzing, but there are 7 or so pops that I can't seem to get rid of.

Very sexy. I never knew you played piano. Your making me want to learn as well, but my lust for guitar is much greater. Ill purchase one someday...

    I wouldn't doubt he did.

I've actually started practicing it myself. Although I'm practicing "Melodies of Life" not At Zanarkand.

    Re: Me @ At Zanarkand

i played both myself, and they are both ridiculously easy compared to whats on the rest of the albums.

i've practiced in the FF Piano Collections for years, and the only one i can't fully play out of IV through X-2 is X-2 because I don't have the sheets for it.

you can find Sibelius midi samples of each score in the FFX Collections on this page:

SquareSound :: Final Fantasy X Piano Collection Sheet Music :: Book Information

my favorites off the album itself are Decisive Battle, Assault, People of the Far North, Via Purifico (Road to Paragon), At Zanarkand, Travel Agency, and Besaid Island - all of which I can play. Really, most of the tracks on the album - excluding Rikku's Theme - are arranged very well.

Great playing there. Now you've gone and made me want to get my Keyboard out and get playing but noo.... It had to be in the UK whilst I in America >.<

I can do most music but I am more skilled on the flute.

I actually had a look on that site wondering if there is any beginners stuff because I would class myself as that, thinking about getting some and getting back into piano.
