christ... makes me feel sad bout ya hookin yo minds up with some mtv shit, all i can say is... Soul rap, thats pure gold... aint bout no bling o pimp, its true soul texts..

altho i lissten sum other stuff fo my entertainment, like cannibal rap, now thats good shit :]

short quote from Brotha Lynch Hung - Return of the baby killer
Guess what daddy's bringin' home for supper
Nigga nuts and guts and slabs of human meat, motherfucker
Now eat! Cause daddy's workin' hard for you, real, huh?
Killas run around everyday that's why I'm hard for you, nigga!
    Now eat!

As I creep, picture every human that I seek
    Slabs of human meat
    Cause my kids gotta eat
I lives kinda deep, dark, up in tha cut
Where niggas load nines, and barrel-fuck a slut
Nigga, what? You ain't even seen me in my prime
Eatin' baby brains, baby veins, baby spines
I know they be cryin' when I'm cuttin' off the neck
I'm peelin' off the skin for some bacon-fried croquettes
Baby villain spine, that baby-killin' mind
A fifth-pound of gin cause I know I'm doin' time
So catch me now before I do my next crime
My kids' gotta eat, somebody's baby's on the line, nigga

and i'll buy a guitar but chances are i won't ever learn to play it
it's just so I look cool
and then after going on myspace i'll go on rage zone and say
all other music other then HARDCORE SUPER POWER PROGRESSIVE DUPER ROCK is shit hip-hop and rap is shit i've never heard any decent songs
but it doesn't matter because i'm all about rock and roll man I don't have
anything to rock about, and i'm boring and predictable.

and this post won't change my mind because I have the confidence and intelligence of a twelve year old.

well, that kind of people really bring shame on other people who like metal. but tell, you what, if that's because what i said about rap, or because what Smo said about it, then i think you miss-understood something.

you see, thing is that it's true! much like what you said about them wannabe metal-heads. in the same way as those 9-12 year old idiots try to make themselves look so 'metal and hardcore', that same way many rap-listeners behave! they'd buy clothes that are 10 sizes bigger than them, buy them gaint shoes, and try to behave like some kind of a 'tough gangsta'. but the different thing about many rappers, unlike the posers' bands, is that they actually tell you to do this! they'd accually say in their songs: "be a stuipid gangster! waste your life on stealing and doing drugs! go rob the closest shop! go piss off the cops!"

again, i'm not saying that all rap is like this, but very much of the new stuff you hear in these years is exacly like this!

and i can tell you the same as you said. i guess that you wouldn't change your mind after reading this post because you didn't hear any decent songs and have the confidence and intelligence of a twelve year old.

if you want thought provoking rap listen to a rap group named "Immortal Technique" and especially a song called "Dance with the Devil"

    this is my answer:

    50 Cent - P.I.M.P. Lyrics - P.I.M.P. - Lyrics On Demand
    System Of A Down - B.Y.O.B. Lyrics - B.Y.O.B. - Lyrics On Demand

2 songs that featured in MTV so that you don't give me crap that music on mtv sucks and therefore my choice was impartial.
I think comparing the lyrics is enough, no need to listen to the music.

    @Unleashed Hell
You said everything I'd say if I ever had the patience to say it.
